IT AND SECURITY MANAGER
Description
The incumbent will primarily design, implement and maintain the IT infrastructure and keep it secure.
Responsibilities
- Review and maintain the existing IT environment, recommend and implement improvements and changes
- Review, develop, update and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
- Work with CISO to implement and maintain security policies, processes and practices
- Work with senior management to manage and report on IT inventory and budget
- Conduct regular system audits and work with auditors
- Monitor and take actions on system, network and data security
- Oversee and determine timeframes for IT events and projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT issues and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Plan, develop and deliver relevant training programs and workshops for staff
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance of IT systems and services
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in IT and security management
- Providing direction for IT team members
- Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
Requirements
- Tertiary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information or similar
- At least 3-5 years working in IT Operations
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, cloud, databases and data storage systems, interfacing with phone systems, printers etc.
- Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Relevant industry certifications will be an advantage
